ADULT TENNIS PROGRAMS & CLASSES
It's a pick up tennis party, everyday at noon! You can request singles or doubles preference, and we'll match you up to play some sets. Score are kept, but all in fun. A Gates staff member will be at your service for any help and to facilitate. We'll mix it up occasionally with different formats to keep it fun and fresh! Bring a friend or come alone.

Private Lessons and Groups
Arrange a lesson for yourself or with a group of friends at a time that fits into your schedule. You can focus on your tennis goals, learn a strategy to fit your game, and delve into the mental side of the game. Private lessons are offered seven days a week at Gates. Adult Class Schedule
Advertised group classes are based on $16 per hour and are a great way to improve your game. Classes are offered to all levels and never surpass a 6 student to 1 instructor ratio.
Cardio tennis is a staple for workout buffs at Gates Tennis Center. Cardio tennis will increase your heart rate, help you burn calories and is a lot of fun. In the winter months (November 1 - March 30) enjoy cardio in the warm afternoons and during the summer months (April 1 - September 30) choose from early morning at 7am before it gets hot or high noon if you like the heat.
The Adult Singles Ladder
The Gates Tennis Center offers one of the largest ladders in the country for the following levels: Men (5.0, 4.5, 4.0, 3.5, 3.0), Women (4.5, 4.0, 3.5, 3.0, 2.5). The computerized ladder offers printouts with names, phone numbers, and email addresses. The ladder also offers drop-in time on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Players who have completed at least 5 matches can qualify for a USTA sanctioned end of ladder season tournament. The fee to participate on the ladder is $15 per season.
Every Friday night and Sunday morning enjoy playing tennis and meeting people. You'll play with several partners and opponents during each mixer. We encourage players of all levels 3.0 to 4.5 to participate. Come alone or with friends, either way fun, friendly competition and socializing is the order of the day.
Top Dog (Spring, Summer & Fall)
If you enjoy fun competitive doubles try the popular “Top Dog” Doubles. It's a co-ed doubles league held Monday thru Thursday at 8pm. Levels vary based on the night of the week. Play with different partners, fun scoring system, friendly atmosphere, but competitive because everyone is trying to be "Top Dog."
Beginner Round Robin (Spring, Summer & Fall)
On Wednesday nights during the summer if you're just starting or have played only a little be part of the Beginner Round Robin. It's a great way to get introduced to actual play and meet other new players. Each night one of our coaches is on hand to help with basic rules and strategy, but mostly there is an emphasis on fun.
Ball Machine Bonanza (Spring, Summer & Fall)
Enjoy the Ball Machine community style. Meet new people while honing your tennis skills. 2 ball machines, 2 courts, for 2 hours if you like. Please call to see when the bonanza is offered!
USTA Leagues at Gates

Sunday NTRP Drills
The NTRP Drill is a new program designed to give players with a USTA ranking a leg up on the competition. Every drill must be played at level, with verification upon check-in. You'll work on Singles tactics, and shot selection, Doubles strategy and court positioning, along with how to win in a tough and high pressure match situation.
Senior Early Birds (Spring, Summer & Fall)
A league for seniors.
Early morning coed doubles league offered on Wednesday mornings from 7:30am to 9:00am, starting May 11 through August 17. League entry fee includes matches, balls, coffee and snacks, as well as, an end-of-season party with prizes and awards. Sign-up for the whole season for $70 or just half the season for $40. Entry deadline is April 17th.
FREE Tennis Clinics (Spring/Summer 2015)
If you don't like things that are FREE then this is not for you, but if you don't mind not paying money for a fun time and a chance to get some tips to help out your tennis game, then come and attend a FREE tennis clinic. The clinics are held on Saturdays once per month during the summer season. There is a limit of 2 per person per summer.
